What is a Blue Gem in CS2?
Blue Gem is a community term for a Case Hardened copy with especially valued blue coverage, usually on the play side. The seed and model determine the pattern; float describes wear. The label alone does not establish a tier, probability or sale price.
How the finish works
Case Hardened combines blue, purple, gold and grey regions. The paint seed changes how the texture appears on the model. Blue coverage and its location both matter; a high percentage alone does not determine a market valuation.
The same seed can look different on different models. Compare the Case Hardened pattern ranking for the exact weapon or knife rather than transferring a tier from another model.
Tiers and prices
Tier lists are community classifications and can differ between guides. Check how a ranking measures blue coverage and which parts of the model it values. A tier label is not an independently verified sale price.
Float still affects the appearance. A general Case Hardened quote may refer to an ordinary pattern, so it must not be presented as the price of a specific Blue Gem. Compare the actual seed, float, variant and asking price of the copy.
- The Case Hardened pattern pages rank seeds by measured blue share on the play side with renders of each seed.
- The float checker reads the seed and supported pattern details when current inspect data is available.
- The float and patterns guide explains seeds, floats and the other pattern families such as Fade and Doppler.
How to check a listing
Copy the inspect link of the listing, paste it into the float checker and read the seed and the blue share. Compare with the tier list for that specific weapon or knife, not for Case Hardened in general. For expensive copies, look at the renders from several angles: the back side and the scope area also affect the price for some models.
Sorular ve cevaplar
Can a Blue Gem be found in a case?
A case that can produce the relevant Case Hardened item can yield a valued pattern. This answer does not establish an official probability for an individual seed; community classifications and technical wiki pages are not a Valve guarantee of drop odds.
Does StatTrak change the pattern?
No. StatTrak and the paint seed are different attributes. Compare the same variant when evaluating prices; a StatTrak label does not establish a particular pattern.
Why do two listings with seed 661 cost different amounts?
The model, float, StatTrak status, stickers and seller can differ. The same seed on different models does not mean the same visual pattern, and an asking price is not evidence of a completed sale.
