How to get an inspect link
- 1 In CS2 open the item in your inventory, press Inspect, then the share button, and copy the link.
- 2 On the Steam Market or in your Steam inventory, right-click “Inspect in Game…” and copy the link address.
- 3 Paste it above: you get a page with the float, seed and stickers and a short link you can send to anyone.

Questions about inspect links
What is a CS2 inspect link?
It is a steam:// link that opens the item preview in the game. Newer links carry the item data themselves in hexadecimal: weapon, finish, float, paint seed, stickers and charm.
Why can’t some links be read?
Older links look like S…A…D… or M…A…D… and only point to an item in an inventory or a Market listing. The float and seed for them are stored on Valve servers and can be fetched only by an inspect bot connected to the game.
Is it safe to paste my link?
Yes. The link only describes how the item looks. It gives no access to your account or inventory, and the page never asks you to sign in.
How accurate is the 3D view?
The viewer renders the finish with the same float and seed and puts stickers and the charm in their slots. Sticker scratches and lighting are approximate, so compare with the in-game preview before a trade.
