Prices and buying
- Where is the cheapest place to buy CS2 skins? No marketplace is cheapest for every skin. Compare the same item, wear and version on its Skinory page, then verify the listing and final payment total on the marketplace. Prices are dated observations, not reserved stock; Steam Wallet funds cannot be withdrawn directly.
- Why is the AWP Dragon Lore so expensive? The Dragon Lore belongs to the Cobblestone Collection and is valued by collectors. Supply, wear and the ordinary or Souvenir variant all affect its price. Remaining souvenir packages and eligible trade-ups mean the number of copies must not be described as permanently fixed. The item page shows available asking prices.

Floats and patterns
- How do I check the float of a CS2 skin? Copy the item’s inspect link from Steam or a marketplace and paste it into the Skinory float checker: it returns the exact float, the paint seed, the wear and the stickers of that copy. Marketplace listings usually show the float too; the wear name alone only tells you the range, for example Field-Tested means 0.15 to below 0.38.
- What is a Blue Gem in CS2? Blue Gem is a community term for a Case Hardened copy with especially valued blue coverage, usually on the play side. The seed and model determine the pattern; float describes wear. The label alone does not establish a tier, probability or sale price.
- What are Doppler phases in CS2? Doppler has Phase 1, 2, 3 and 4, plus Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl. Gamma Doppler has its own four phases and Emerald. The variant is identified by its finish or paint index; the seed changes the pattern within that variant, while float describes wear. Compare the exact variant before quoting a price.

- How is the CS2 market cap estimated? The Skinory.io analytical estimate multiplies observed listed value from Skinport and Market.CSGO by one configurable supply coefficient. The coefficient is a working model assumption, not a measured share of all inventories. The current coefficient, observed value, data time and sensitivity scenarios are shown with the estimate; this is neither the amount available to withdraw nor an audited valuation of every CS2 item.
- What is the Skinory CS2 Index? The Skinory CS2 Index tracks daily price changes with base 100 at each category’s first snapshot. It uses the weighted arithmetic mean of price ratios for matched items; weights are their previous-day price times listed quantity. Prices come from Skinport and Market.CSGO, using the reported median where available and otherwise the lowest listing. It is an analytical indicator, not a tradeable investment or a price forecast.
