Which CS2 marketplaces have the lowest fees?
There is no universally cheapest marketplace. Compare what reaches your chosen payout method for the same item and buyer price. For CS2, Steam adds a 5% Steam fee and a 10% game fee to the seller amount; the proceeds stay in Steam Wallet. Cash marketplaces have different fee bases, tiers and withdrawal costs. Skinory shows known fees and distinguishes a listing-sale estimate from a real buyout quote.
How Steam fees work
For CS2, the nominal 5% Steam fee and 10% game fee are calculated on the seller amount. Ignoring minimums and rounding, a seller amount of $100 gives a buyer total of $115: the $15 fee is about 13.04% of what the buyer pays, not 15%. Small amounts are affected by minimum fees and currency rounding. The Steam fees guide has a calculator; confirm the final amounts in Steam’s sale dialog.
Steam proceeds stay in the wallet and cannot be withdrawn directly. The Steam balance guide explains this distinction. A conversion through skins depends on actual purchase and sale prices, fees and trade restrictions; it is not a fixed exchange rate.
Where marketplace fees hide
Marketplaces advertise a seller commission, but the total cost often has more parts: a fee on deposits, a fee or a minimum on withdrawals, a spread between buy and sell balances, and in some cases a buyer fee added at checkout. An instant-buyout quote may differ from a seller listing and may have its own payout charges; verify what amount the quote includes.
Skinory keeps a fee table per marketplace, sourced from the marketplace’s own fee page and checked by hand. The item page provides offer comparisons; sale estimates deduct applicable known fees and must be distinguished from executable buyout quotes and eventual withdrawal amounts. Where a marketplace does not publish its fee, the estimate is left empty rather than assumed.
- The arbitrage page compares observed prices under its stated fee assumptions; a spread is not a guaranteed executable buyout or withdrawal amount.
- The selling guide covers trade holds, verification and payout methods that affect the final amount.
- Check the marketplace’s current fee page, tier conditions and payout method. A published seller fee alone is not a complete withdrawal quote.
Picking a marketplace to sell on
Compare the same wear and version, the expected sale price and every known payment or withdrawal charge. A count of active listings measures available supply, not the speed of sales. Use dated completed-sale observations where available; no listing count guarantees a sale or its timing.
Pytania i odpowiedzi
Is a 0% commission marketplace really free?
Not necessarily. Buyer, payment, withdrawal or conversion charges may still apply. Check the full fee conditions and final amount rather than assuming that 0% seller commission means zero total cost.
Do fees differ by item price?
On some marketplaces yes: tiers lower the commission for expensive items or for high-volume sellers. Skinory shows the fee that applies to the listed price where the marketplace publishes tiers.
Why does the estimated net on Skinory differ from what I received?
The estimate uses the published commission; payout method fees, currency conversion and promotional discounts are applied by the marketplace at withdrawal. Compare the marketplace statement with the fee table and report a mismatch through the contact page.
