The Control Collection and its short float ranges
The Control Collection was introduced in December 2020 in CS:GO and is listed among the operation collections. It has neither a case nor a Souvenir Package, so its 19 skins are never unboxed; players trade them or create them with trade-up contracts using other Control items.
The top of this collection is dominated by short float ranges. AWP | Fade, the only Covert skin, is capped at 0.08, and so is M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor, one of the two Classified skins; both therefore come only as Factory New or Minimal Wear. The other Classified skin, USP-S | Target Acquired, goes up to 0.50.
Among the three Restricted skins, Five-SeveN | Berries And Cherries stops at 0.10 and is also limited to the two freshest wears, while FAMAS | Prime Conspiracy reaches 0.55 and UMP-45 | Crime Scene 0.75. The four Mil-Spec skins are M4A4 | Global Offensive, P2000 | Dispatch, SCAR-20 | Magna Carta and SSG 08 | Threat Detected.
Short caps continue at Industrial Grade: Desert Eagle | The Bronze ends at 0.30 and MAG-7 | Carbon Fiber at 0.12, alongside Dual Berettas | Switch Board and MP5-SD | Nitro. The Consumer Grade tier consists of AUG | Surveillance, CZ75-Auto | Jungle Dashed, MP9 | Army Sheen, P250 | Forest Night and XM1014 | Charter.
In total, four of the 19 skins can never be worse than Minimal Wear. Rifles and pistols are equally represented with seven skins each, SMGs have three and heavy weapons two. Control was never issued with StatTrak™ versions.
